How we work

From design to delivery

Customers benefit from a fully managed service for any manufacturing project.

We work closely with you to guide you through the entire process, and help you utilise available technologies to ensure the best manufacturing approach is taken. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service in line with our company values and open communication, to deliver a quality sheet metal product manufacturing service from start to finish.

Our design services are here to support your vision and make it a manufacturable reality. Unifabs’ team of experienced engineers have many year’s knowledge of sheet metal product manufacturing coupled with an open-minded approach to design.

We offer a consultative approach, working closely with you to produce the best solution possible. Our dedicated development area allows for prototypes to be quickly produced, tested, modified and approved. And with 3D printing technology in-house, we can easily check and prototype component parts to ensure optimum performance without having to wait or outlay tooling costs.

Whether starting from a concept, modifying your existing design to improve manufacturability or value engineering a part to make it more cost effective to produce; our design team solves manufacturing problems and improves end products to exceed expectations.

Our 24 hour fabrication centre with ‘lights out‘ manufacturing abilities houses the latest technology including automated fibre laser cutting, automated CNC punching, CNC press brakes accommodating up to 4 metre lengths, and automated panel bending capabilities.

We have extensive units boasting multiple workstations, welding bays and robot welding capabilities.  Our specialist machines and expertise allow us to perform high volume fabrications with unparalleled precision and accuracy.

Our finishing staff work around the clock, transforming sheet metal into components and fully finished products.

We are equipped with one of the most advanced automated powder coating plants available in the country, along with manual finishing capabilities, and with a dedicated assembly area and team, we don’t just make metal parts, we make metal work.

All parts are produced in line with our ISO 9001:2015 quality management accreditation.  With strict maintenance programmes, pre-shift machinery checks, a thorough non-conformance reporting system, and the addition of on-site quality inspectors based in the manufacturing areas, you can rest assured that your products are manufactured to exacting standards.

54,900 sq. ft. of manufacturing facilities centrally located in the West Midlands, UK and a dedicated fleet of vehicles delivering to companies across Birmingham, Leicester, Coventry, and nationwide.

Unifabs are set-up to provide a truly end-to-end sheet metal product manufacturing service, this includes supporting you with delivery tailored to meet your needs. Whether you need it delivered to you, into your production line just-in-time (JIT), or directly to your customer, we can meet your requirements.

During the delivery process we keep sustainability in mind, keeping single-use plastics to a minimum and using recycled and recyclable cardboard where possible. In addition, for regular repeating deliveries, reusable plastic totes are utilised to reduce waste and minimise our environmental impact.
