Unifabs are passionate about investing in the next generation. We not only offer apprenticeships in engineering through our academy, but also in a variety of business functions, take Ellie our Admin Apprentice for example. We believe they are an effective way to develop a skilled, motivated and qualified workforce.  And as Unifabs grows, our apprentices grow with us.

Meet our admin apprentice

We’d like to introduce our newest admin apprentice, Ellie (pictured with the Admin team, Lauren (left) and Filipa (right)).

Ellie has joined Unifabs on a level 3 (A-level equivalent) Business Administration Apprenticeship and we’d like to take the opportunity to welcome her to the team. Based in the admin office, Ellie will be supporting the Admin team. Handling general office tasks, taking telephone enquiries, data entry, processing, and more.

Ellie decided early on that formal learning was not for her. Realising that she thrived in a more practical environment, she commented “I knew when I finished school that I didn’t want to go onto A-levels, but I did want to continue my education. An apprenticeship was the perfect compromise. After a brief period working as a dental nurse, I realised I enjoyed the administration and reception duties more than the dental nurse work. Instead, I decided to pursue a career in administration. That is when I came across the apprenticeship opportunity at Unifabs. Since joining, I’ve really been made to feel welcome. Lauren and the team are very supportive. I’m looking forward to working my way through my apprenticeship, and progressing my career under her supervision”.

Ellie’s apprenticeship will provide a solid grounding in the principles of business administration. Working on a full time basis, with day release for her studies. It will develop her ability to communicate in a business environment. It will also elevate her ITC skills for business, ultimately providing her with thorough training in all things Admin.

Welcome to the team Ellie!
